Actually getting to eat your own produce makes all that shit-schlepping and all those blisters totally worthwhile. I originally posted this last August after a session with a client that got me thinking. I can't imagine that any gay romance reader hasn't already gobbled up Bell's “Something Like…” romance series. It is very confusing and disturbing. Something Like Summer is a love story spanning a decade and beyond as two boys discover what it means to be friends, lovers, and sometimes even enemies. Today's post is a reminder to enjoy these last few days of Summer. Last June, I came up with a list of ten things I'd like to see happen over the summer of 2010. Yes of course things like food and summer camps are now responsibility of other parent but the TRUE costs of rasing child is still there. And it is a real issue, outgrowing your friends. I outgrew mine late high school, early college, my best friend who I'd had since I was 5. Even though we were in our 30s, it felt something like summer camp with margaritas. Something Like Summer, is now available as an audiobook at Audible and in iTunes. Not that I don't enjoy shit and blisters, you understand. I wrote the list because we were going through a slow news. Since this post, I've done lots of things I'm not good atand gotten a little bit better after doing them. We had gone out to a nightclub, where the expensive cover charge included free drinks for the ladies. This sounds like something good for a summer read! Something Like Autumn tells the story of Jace's life before the events of Something Like Summer, while also revisiting his time with Benjamin Bentley.
